Alternative to Apple Headset for iPhone Users

If you are unhappy with your ear buds headset that came with your iPhone and you just don’t want to pay the $79.00 for the Apple branded in-the-ear headset, there is an alternative.

The ‘Ultimate Ears’ 200vi Noise -Isolating Headset, made by Logitech, may be for you. Apple sells it in their stores and on their website for $39.95, which is ~$40 bucks cheaper than the Apple in-the-ear headset.

The sound that the headset puts out is comparable to the Apple product and the in-line controls are easy to use. The in-the-ear headphones are much better for those folks like me who don’t have symmetrical inner ears.

With the Apple ear buds or any brand ear buds, for that matter, I always have one bud falling out of my ear. Very annoying, to say the least. With the in-the-ear style, the bud stays put, short of yanking on the cord.

So, if you are in the market for a new headset, give them a try. It’s worth it at just ~$10 bucks more than the regular Apple ear buds.
